We are New Zealand’s leading HVAC Commissioning company and have been involved in setting to work some of the most iconic buildings in the country. 

 

Airlab started as Project Services in 1978 by Mike Dane, working from his house providing draughting, project documentation and commissioning to the HVAC construction industry.

 

The company slowly grew and concentrated on the commissioning aspect of the business. In 2005 our name was changed to Airlab and we moved into the current premises at Plunket Ave.

 

The construction of Te Papa saw the birth of the Wellington office and the rebuild after the earthquakes in Christchurch saw us take up residence there. 

 

In 2008 we acquired Airpro Scientific to start the indoor environment certification side of the business which has seen us become an IANZ accredited laboratory.

In 2021 we opened our Dunedin branch.
